Personal data

Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person.

Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person — for example a name, an email address, a location, an online identifier, or any detail that, alone or combined with others, can single you out. It is the information that data-protection rights such as access and erasure are designed to cover. Defining it broadly matters because it decides how far your fundamental right to see and control information about yourself actually reaches.
