Data Subject Access Request (DSAR)
A Data Subject Access Request is your right, under UK GDPR, to ask what personal data an organization holds about you. This page explains what a DSAR is and how OSINTA.AI helps you exercise your own request, clearly and on your terms.

1) What a DSAR is
A Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) is a formal way to ask an organization what personal data it holds about you and to receive a copy of it.
It is a right you hold under the UK GDPR. The request is about your own data: data that relates to you as an identified or identifiable person.
- See what personal data is held about you and why.
- Understand the categories of data and, where relevant, who it has been shared with.
- Receive a readable copy so you can check it for yourself.
2) How OSINTA.AI helps, self-only
OSINTA.AI helps you exercise your own right. You initiate the request, you read the evidence, and we help route it to the right place.
We do not act on anyone else's behalf, and we do not promise that data will be removed or erased for you. What we offer is clarity: a calm, self-directed way to prepare and submit a request you can stand behind.
- Self-only: the request is yours, about your own digital footprint.
- Evidence you can read: clear summaries you review yourself, drawn from public sources and what you connect.
- We route, we do not remove: we help you exercise your right; the decision rests with the organization that holds the data.
3) The steps
A self-directed DSAR usually follows a few simple steps. You stay in control at each one.
- Prepare: note the organization, the data you expect, and any reference details that identify you.
- Verify: be ready to confirm your identity, which protects your data from being released to someone else.
- Submit: send the request to the organization (we can help you frame and route it).
- Review: read the response yourself and decide on any follow-up rights, such as rectification.
4) What to expect
Under the UK GDPR, an organization generally responds to a DSAR within one month, and access is usually free. Timelines and details can vary, and some organizations may ask for identity verification first.
OSINTA.AI keeps the process honest: we help you understand and exercise your right, and we are clear about what is yours to decide and what rests with the organization holding the data.
5) How to start and what to include
To start a request about your own data, email us at support@osinta.ai or use the data-request route on this site. Include enough detail for us to identify you and the data you are asking about.
To protect your data, you may be asked to verify your identity first. Under the UK GDPR an organisation generally responds within one month, and access is usually free.
6) If you are not satisfied
If you believe an organisation has not handled your request properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. For requests about data OSINTA.AI holds, you are also welcome to contact us first at support@osinta.ai.
OSINTA does not provide legal advice — we help you exercise your own rights.
